WHF Conducts Annual Meeting; Welcomes New Trustees



Trenton, NJ- The Women's Heart Foundation recently held its annual meeting and elected new trustees to serve a two-year term. The board invited existing members to extend their terms to an additional two years and installed its officers. The board welcomed:

  • Stacen Keating
  • Janice Kovach
  • Ann Sikora
The board invited trustees to extend their terms:
  • Robin Heston
  • Barbara Roberts
Incumbents are Walt Arkus, Pamela Boyce Simms and William Healey who will continue to serve a second year of their 2-year term.

Officers were installed. Bonnie Arkus was elected to serve as president and executive director, and Girard Pisauro as treasurer and recording secretary. Dr. Barbara Roberts will continue to serve as the chief medical advisor to the Foundation.

Robin Heston accepted the role of chair for the annual Run for Mom on Mother's Day. Bonnie Arkus will be acting chair for Women's Heart Week 2009, with a luncheon to take place at the Marriott at Lafayette Yard in Trenton on Feb 1 - National Women's Heart Wellness Day.

Joining the Foundation's medical advisory board are Dr. Kathleen Ashton, Dr. Glenn Laub and Dr. S. Gowda



The Women's Heart Foundation (WHF) is the only Non Governmental Organization that designs and implements demonstration projects for the prevention and early intervention of heart disease in women.
