10,000 Steps Campaign -Governors in every state have been invited to participate with WHF in
launching the 10,000 Steps a Day campaign in their state by joining with members of the clergy to
unite citizens in establishing a walking program for prevention of heart disease,
diabetes and many other diseases. For more information on the WHF 10,000 Steps

Free Screenings at New Jersey
Curves® -Eight New Jersey Curves® assisted WHF in
completing free heart screenings and lifestyle counseling by
a registered nurse and disseminated free Take Care of Your Heart brochures and women's health tracker cards
in their local community. WHF awarded scholarships to the Curves to help
cover the related costs of the screenings. Many more Curves® are participating
by providing Women's Heart Foundation materials on an ongoing basis.

Jewelry collection - WHF is working to expand its reach into other states through collecting,
polishing and reselling
used costume jewelry. Proceeds of the sales will benefit the WHF.
February 4, 1-5 PM - GO Red Day with WHF rally and health expo
Location: Trenton War Memorial. This historical event brings together
the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Heart Truth Project and the
American Heart Association as part of Women's Heart Foundation's 12th Annual Women's Heart Week
celebration. WHF will be commemorating the 7 focus days of women's heart
wellness with music, food, vendors, demos, a talk show, dance and fun. A mother-daughter
10,000 STEPS contest is being organized by WHF, in collaboration with
the National Heart Truth project. A statewide campaign for 10,000 Steps
a day is being launched with free pedometers being dispensed. This FREE family event
is being presented in partnership with the NJ Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority,
the New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Service, the U.S Department of
Health and Human Services Region II Office on Women's Health and the (NIH) Heart Truth Project,
and in association with the American Heart Association
Go Red Campaign. The Women's Heart Foundation awards reception
and volunteer ceremony will immediately follow the public festivities. The event is made possible through
genderous funding provided by the NIH Heart Truth Project and L'Oreal USA.

February 23-26 - First World Congress on Gender Medicine
Location: Berlin, Germany. WHF will be presenting at the poster session of this historical
conference that convenes the scientific and medical communities in the emerging field of gender-specific medicine.
WHF will present on its highly successful Project Teen Esteem Health and Fitness
