Dory Altmann, MD
cardiologist
   
Dr. Altmann addressed heart disease as it affects women, recognizing "atypical" symptoms and the importance of responding to symptoms quickly to benefit from emergency care. Dr. Altmann was listed in "America's Best Doctors" and is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, interventional cardiology, and nuclear cardiology. He is Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Society for Coronary Angiography and Interventions.
   

Kathrine Switzer
marathon runner, author, lecturer

    
Kathrine will always be best known as the woman who challenged the all-male tradition of the Boston Marathon and became the first woman to officially enter and run the event. Her entry in the Boston Marathon created an uproar and gained her worldwide notoriety when a race official tried to forcibly remove her from the competition. Three decades later, the incident continues to capture the public's attention. Since then, Switzer has dedicated her multi-faceted career to creating opportunities and equal sport status for women.

Ms. Switzer is WHF's National Spokeswoman to promote Women and Walking.
   

Doris McMillon

Doris McMillon moderated Women's Heart Wellness Day Talk Show: Putting a Face on Heart Disease. Doris has worked with NIH and THE HEART TRUTH campaign and is committed to advancing the heart health and awareness of American women, especially women of color.
   

Chef Cindy Groman

A graduate of the world-renowned Culinary Institute of America, Chef Cindy Groman has had a lifetime of experience in perfecting the culinary arts. She has created her masterpieces at Virginia's' historic Williamsburg Inn and has taught at Johnson and Wales University's College of Culinary Arts. She has also worked as a Chef at Shawnee On the Delaware and the Mountain Manor Inn in Pennsylvania's Pocono Mountains. Not only is she capable of presenting world class cuisine in a flawlessly professional style, she also has easy-to-do comfort foods down to a science. We guarantee you will enjoy discovering her trade secrets, tasting her culinary creations and learning great new recipes that you can try at home. It isn't enough that Chef Cindy Groman loves what she does…she wants you to love it too!

Cynthia Ann Stephens is a remarkable woman. Not only did Cindy survive a near-fatal stroke two years ago, she also overcame incredible odds, entered into a state beauty pageant and won the title! Mrs. New Jersey 2002 serves as Women's Heart Foundation's National Spokeswoman for Stroke Awareness and was a member of panel discussion /Talk Show to inform women about signs and symptoms of stroke. Her message to all women: Never give up your dream!

Heart transplant surgeon and famed author of "Healing from the Heart" will discuss how improving the healthcare system for women will benefit all. In his practice at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York, Dr. Oz endorses use of holistic alternative treatment modalities that foster wellness. His blending of traditional medicine with alternative is a true "east meets west", representing medicine of the future.
