Dr. Roberts was elected to serve as president, Mo Roddy as vice president and Girard Pisauro, CPA, as treasurer. Bonnie Watson Coleman will serve as Honorary Chairwoman for Women's Heart Week 2007. Robin Heston will serve as Chairwoman of the 4th annual RUN FOR YOUR HEART. Bonnie Arkus will continue to serve as the executive director.

"I am pleased to join the Women's Heart Foundation in its mission to promote gender care", said Dr. Roberts. "As a woman cardiologist, I know first hand that it is difficult to change the way that practitioners respond to women's milder symptoms. We must work together to improve healthcare and also educate women with clear and updated information on how to navigate the system to save their own lives," said Dr. Roberts. Dr. Roberts is the author of "How to Keep from Breaking Your Heart" and promotes the practice of gender-specific evidence-based medicine. Dr. Roberts serves on the Speakers Bureau for Pfizer, Medtronic, Abbott and Guidant and is Principal Investigaor for the AIM-HIGH study.
